New Blindness Treatment for Macular Degeneration
Surgeons in Britain are pioneering a new technique that uses radiation beams as wide as a pinpoint to kill off abnormal blood vessels found at the back of eyes of those with blindness caused by macular degeneration. This technique will come as good new to patients who currently have to monthly injections which cost £800 a time. The new procedure is estimated to cost £6000, and should be cost effective after 7 months. Early signs are that the radiation does not harm other healthy cells in the eye as the radiation probe would point specifically to the area of damage.

The Square Root of 3 by Dave Feinberg
I came across this poem about the square root of three, nowhow would this benefit you if you memorise this:
I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root threeThe three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nineFor nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmeticI know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationalityWhen hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a threeAs quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integerWe break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wandsOur square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed
I heard this first from the film ‘Harold and Kumar 2: Escape from Guantanamo Bay’
