Good Old Fashion Flu Remedy

The Flu pandemic of 2009 (H1N1 flu), while a serious threat, is not as dangerous as those in recorded history. In the Flu pandemic 1918, 40 million people were killed which is considerably higher than the numbers killed in the First World (WWI), i.e. 8,556,315 (not including people missing or POWs). The flu could strike a seemingly healthy person and s/he could be dead within 24 hours as many did.

A doctor discovered a family living on a farmland in North America, which were not affected by flu and found that the family kept a raw onion in each room in their house. When the doctor examined the onions, he discovered that the onions indeed had absorbed the influenza virus.

How can you use an onion to help shake off any flu symptoms (and colds) that you may have?
Blend an onion until it turns into juice, and drink it. Now this is not for everybody as it tastes awful, but if you can handle it then you will find that it will make you cough up all the flem in your chest. The onion juice will break up the mucus in your chest. This method can leave you quite tired and this routine may need repeating once more, but you should not do it more that 3 times in a 24 hour period.
